Kevin D. Barton is Executive Vice President (EVP) of Finance at Genesis Systems LLC. As EVP of Finance, he is responsible for the company’s financial strategy, fundraising, budget controls, corporate tax matters, and domestic and international asset portfolio.  Prior to joining Genesis, Kevin was a cross-disciplinary finance expert with 30+ years of professional experience serving an exclusive national clientele.   His finance career began as an investment advisor at New York Life, Wells Fargo Bank, and at Washington Mutual Bank.  He later made partner at a prominent independent Los Angeles tax and investment advisory firm. In this capacity, Kevin served the investment and tax needs of a fully diversified portfolio of businesses and individuals.  

In 2013, Kevin established and led an independent, licensed advisory firm with offices in Los Angeles and San Diego, which served private clients in 22+ U.S. states and territories.  The firm specialized in providing in-depth financial advisory and tax planning services for all facets of business and personal finance including accounting, preparation and analysis of balance sheets, P&Ls, and business entity recommendations and structure of business finances.  The firm also maintained a niche expertise working with the diverse tax and investment needs of non-profits and licensed and/or ordained clergy.  As the firm’s owner, Kevin frequently lectured at seminars on finance, accounting, and investment matters.  

Kevin’s investment advisory services included working with accredited investors to develop and acquire investment portfolios that included publicly traded securities, real estate, energy limited partnerships, and private placement offerings in technology and services companies.   

Kevin graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University with a B.A. in Business Administration. He also holds certificates in Accounting and Computer Sciences.
